Hi Kaligrafos,
I thought it was time for a blog post from me. I have been thrilled to work from home since March, but miss our meeting and just going out shopping and to eat. Trying to avoid the masses as much as possible.
During the quarantine, I have been participating in envelope exchanges through the monthly Pushing the Envelope* blog by Jean Wilson. I get some great envelopes and some not as great, but it forces me to sit down and be creative for a few hours each month. This exchange was introduced to us by Tom Burns a couple of years ago and I enjoy it very much. Check out some I’ve received over the past few months, a couple are made from magazine pages folded to take advantage of the best part of the page. Also a couple I have created using stamps. Maybe by the time this pandemic ends, I’ll learn to take photographs without shadows in them.
One of these envelopes is from our own Brenda Burns made with sprays, likely by member Rick Garlington, so lovely. Make someone’s day and surprise them by pulling out the directory and sending a quick note with a lovely envelope. It will truly add joy to their day.
*If you are ever interested in joining “Pushing the Envelopes”, here is the link http:// pushingtheenvelopes.blogspot. com/. To participate in the exchange, you can email jmwilson411@yahoo.comwith your name, address, and email address from the 1st – 4th of any month. You will receive confirmation of your participation and a list a few days later of 5 people to send an envelope to by month end. You get to “meet” some new friends and get something special in your mailbox.
Stay safe & Creative!Trish
